Condo swimming lessons bring an MOE-registered, NROC-certified Swim Masters coach to your own condominium pool. No travelling across town, no crowded public lanes, and a familiar setting where children and adults learn faster. This page covers how it works, exact rates, who it suits, our weather policy, and how to book.

Quick answer: private condo swimming lessons with Swim Masters are $400 per 4 lessons ($100 per lesson), with the coach coming to your condo pool. Two or three learners sharing pay $30–60 per student per lesson. New students can start with a $140 trial lesson at your condo pool, topped up to a package on confirmation. How condo swimming lessons work

Getting started takes four steps:

  1. Enquire — WhatsApp or call +65 6709 0018 with your condo name, the learner's age and swimming background, and your preferred days.

  2. Pool and access check — we confirm the pool suits the learner's level and how your condo handles visiting instructors (most just register the coach as a guest at the guardhouse).

  3. Coach matched — we assign a coach who teaches in your area and suits the learner; you can request a female coach.

  4. Trial lesson — a $140 first lesson at your pool. The coach assesses water confidence, breathing and past experience, then sets a progression plan. Continue with a package and the trial fee is topped up on confirmation.

What we need from you

  • Condo name and the pool you plan to use (main pool, kids' pool, or both)

  • Approximate pool depth, or a photo — a shallow section helps young children and nervous beginners

  • Learner's age, any past lessons or SwimSafer stage, and what you want to achieve

  • Two or three time slots that work for you each week

Pool rules, guest access and weather policy

Condominiums set their own rules for external instructors. Most only need the coach registered as a visitor; a few require written approval from management or restrict coaching hours, so tell us your condo name early and we will advise before the first lesson.

Safety comes first with weather. Lessons stop when a lightning alert is active, following standard pool safety rules, and your coach will WhatsApp you before the lesson if the forecast looks unsafe. Every package includes one makeup class, which covers bad weather, sickness or absence.

Private condo swimming lessons (1-to-1)

One-to-one lessons are the fastest route for nervous beginners, young children starting out, adults learning later in life and swimmers preparing for a SwimSafer stage. The coach's full attention stays on one learner, so technique is corrected in real time and the pace matches the swimmer rather than a class average. Lessons run weekly at a fixed slot, which is what builds skills fastest. See the full private swimming lesson fees guide for how condo lessons compare with other formats.

Shared and group condo swimming lessons

Siblings, cousins or neighbours at a similar level can share one coach at your condo pool for $30–60 per student per lesson. Two or three learners is the sweet spot: the cost per child drops while each swimmer still gets hands-on correction. For larger groups and how shared sessions are structured, read our guide to group condo swimming lessons.

Condo swimming coach: who teaches you

Every Swim Masters coach is MOE-registered and NROC-certified, and you will recognise them on deck by the signature red Swim Masters coaching uniform. Head Coach Alvin Ng leads the team, which has coached students through to SwimSafer Stage 6 and Lifesaving 1, 2 and 3. Female coaches are available on request for condo lessons; a small surcharge applies at condo and private venues. Meet our coaches.

Condo swimming lessons for kids, adults and ladies

Kids and SwimSafer preparation at your condo pool

Children can start from about age 3 to 4, and the shallow end or kids' pool at most condos is ideal for the first stages. The full SwimSafer 2.0 syllabus — water confidence, floating, kicking, breathing, survival skills and strokes — is taught at your pool, provided it has a section deep enough for the survival skills at each stage. When your child is ready, we arrange the official CAMS assessment ($50 CAMS + $50 coordination). Read the SwimSafer 2.0 requirements or book a SwimSafer test.

Adults and beginners

Many adults never learned to swim, or lost confidence years ago. The privacy of your own condo pool removes the biggest barrier: no audience. Lessons start with breathing and floating, progress to freestyle and breaststroke, and move at your pace. Our adult beginner's guide explains what the first month looks like.

Ladies and female-coach requests

If you or your daughter would prefer a female coach, tell us when you enquire and we will match one, subject to schedule. A small surcharge applies for female coaches at condo and private venues.

Condo pool or public pool: which should you pick?

Condo lessons win on convenience, privacy and familiarity, which is why they suit beginners, young children and adults building confidence. A public swimming complex offers full-length lanes and consistent depth, which matter more once a swimmer moves into stroke endurance and test preparation. Many families do both: weekly lessons at the condo, with occasional complex sessions as skills progress. If your pool turns out to be unsuitable, the same private lessons can run at any of our public-pool venues, including Senja-Cashew, Bukit Batok, Jurong West, Clementi and Delta.

  • Travel: condo — none; public pool — 10–30 minutes each way

  • Pool depth: condo — shallow end for beginners, often no lap lane; public — 1.2 m plus, full lanes

  • Cost: condo — $100 per private lesson; public — private from $100, group from $25 per lesson

Where we teach: condo swimming lessons island-wide

Our coaches teach at condominiums and private-estate pools across Singapore — North, North-East, East, Central and West, including Bukit Panjang, Bukit Batok, Jurong, Clementi, Bukit Merah, Queenstown, Bedok, Tampines, Sengkang, Punggol, Woodlands and Yio Chu Kang. Tell us your condo name and we will confirm coach availability in your area.

Frequently asked questions

How much do condo swimming lessons cost in Singapore?

Private condo swimming lessons with Swim Masters are $400 per 4 lessons, or $100 per lesson, with the coach travelling to your condominium pool. Two or three learners sharing a lesson pay $30–60 per student per session. New students can start with a $140 trial at their condo pool, topped up to a package on confirmation. Rates match our published fees guide, with no hidden travel charge.

Can a swimming coach teach at my condo pool?

Yes. Our MOE-registered, NROC-certified coaches teach at any condominium or private-estate pool in Singapore. Most condos simply need you to register the coach as a guest at the guardhouse; a few require management approval, so tell us your condo name when you enquire and we will advise before the first lesson.

Are condo swimming lessons private or in a group?

Both. One-to-one lessons give the fastest progress for nervous beginners and SwimSafer preparation. If you have siblings or neighbours at similar levels, two or three learners can share one coach at your condo pool, which lowers the cost per child while keeping the coach's attention on a very small group.

Can I request a female swimming coach for condo lessons?

Yes, female coaches are available on request for condo swimming lessons, subject to schedule. A small surcharge applies for condo and private venues. Let us know your preference when you book so we match the right coach.

Can my child prepare for SwimSafer at a condo pool?

Yes, as long as the pool has a section deep enough for the survival skills required at each stage. Coaches run the full SwimSafer 2.0 syllabus at condo pools and, when your child is ready, we arrange the CAMS assessment ($50 CAMS + $50 coordination) so the certificate is officially recorded.

What happens if it rains during a condo swimming lesson?

Lessons stop when a lightning alert is active, following pool safety rules. Each package includes one makeup class, which covers bad weather, sickness or absence. Your coach will WhatsApp you before the lesson if the forecast looks unsafe, so you are never left waiting at the pool.
