Privacy Policy — SG Pool & Haze Status Chrome Extension

The SG Pool & Haze Status extension for Google Chrome, published by Swim Masters Singapore, does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data.

What the extension does

• Requests public air-quality readings (24-hour PSI and 1-hour PM2.5) from the Singapore National Environment Agency via api-open.data.gov.sg.

• Loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap to display public swimming complex locations.

• Loads fonts from Google Fonts.

These requests contain no user-identifying information beyond what any browser sends when loading a web page (such as an IP address), and are governed by those providers' own privacy policies.

What the extension does not do

The extension has no user accounts, no analytics, no cookies and no tracking. It does not read your browsing history, the contents of other tabs, or any data on websites you visit. Links from the extension to swimmingcourses.sg carry a UTM tag so we can see that a visit came from the extension; no individual is identified.

Permissions

The extension requests access to api-open.data.gov.sg only, in order to fetch the public NEA air-quality feeds.
