What is the SSPA?
Welcome to the SSPA, Singapore's premier annual awards event organized by Singapore Aquatics! mission is to promote swimming proficiency and provide a pathway for swimmers to progress after completing the SwimSafer program. Open to all swimmers, can challenge themselves at any award level, from Level 1 to 6, and earn certificates and badges to celebrate their achievements. Eligibility: All swimmers except those who participated in recent major games (SEA Games, Asian Games, etc.)

Annual Registration Fee: S$43.60 (includes GST)

Individual Event Fee: S$16.35 per event (includes GST)

Late Entry Fee: S$32.70 per event (includes GST), accepted until 30th April 2025.
How to Register

Affiliated Club Members: Submit entries to your club; clubs will upload files to Singapore Aquatics.

Non-affiliated/Independent Swimmers: Download and fill in the manual registration file from Singapore Aquatics, then email it to swim.entries@sgaquatics.org.sg.

Entry times can be based on recent training times.

Payment by PayNow QR code, stating swimmer’s name.

Clubs/coaches can request to pay for multiple swimmers together.

Levels: Level 1 (50m) to Level 6 (1500m) with different technical requirements for each stroke and distance.

Booking your SwimSafer Test is a straightforward process. Follow these simple steps to secure your spot:
1. Booking & Confirmation
How do I register my child?
Register via the CAMS portal. After you submit, your child’s coach must validate the request before you can pay.
I paid but didn’t get a confirmation email. What now?
Email can be slow or get filtered. The fastest way is to log in to CAMS and check your child’s assessment status directly.
When does registration close?
Slots close 3 weeks before the assessment date. If you miss this window, please book another available date.
Two children, one household—can we use one email?
No. Each child needs a unique email address to avoid account mix-ups.
2. On the Day of the Test
Will my test still proceed if there’s another event at the pool?
Unless you’re told otherwise, yes. Follow your booking details in CAMS.
What should my child bring?
Swim attire, goggles, towel, and any stage-specific items advised by your coach. Arrive early to settle in.
3. Results, Certificates & Timelines
When will practical results be ready?
Typically within 48 hours after the assessment.

4. What if my child fails the test?
Please don’t be discouraged—every child learns at their own pace. If a child does not pass, you can choose to appeal the result for a fee of $50.00 via the CAMS portal. We are here to support your child's learning journey and can arrange focused guidance sessions to help them build the confidence and skills needed for their next attempt.

How long do we have to complete the quiz?
You have 7 days after the assessment to complete it.
We missed the 7-day window. What can we do?
Request an extension under My Quizzes in CAMS. A $5 admin fee applies.
6. Appeals (If You Disagree with a Result)
Can we appeal?
Yes. Parents can raise an appeal in the Results section of CAMS.
Is there a fee?
There’s a $50 deposit to open an appeal. If the appeal is successful, the deposit is refunded.
Do we submit proof?
Yes—please email supporting details/video (date, time, venue, stage, child’s full name) after you submit the appeal.

8. Mock Tests & Practice
Are mock tests allowed?
Yes—mock sessions are meant to familiarise your child with the environment and expectations. Coaches may charge for this service when conducted responsibly. (They shouldn’t disrupt official assessments or be run as large groups at the same time/place as the real test.)
